Weight Struggles Week 3

How often have you found yourself in the midst of a decision on why you diet? We've all been there of course...unless you're hiding under a table. Do I eat the food to nourish myself or to deal with ongoing issues, worry, doubt, sadness etc?

All of the above.

Fact is, our body needs nourishment, of many kinds. Water, Proteins, Veggies, Carbs and so on. What we need and what we eat are two very different menus. For me, I eat because I truly, love food. I just do and I don't try to hide it. Give me a steak and potato. Yes, butter and sour cream.

Weight loss for me is double hard because of my age. Yes, all you younger girls remember this...the older you are the harder it is to lose the unwanted weight. Let's not worry though..just be smart now so later, it won't be so hard.

Here are some tips that I was given and have used for ME. It may or may not work for you, this is my plan that I use.

  1. Drink water.

  2. Eat. Eat three square meals a day.

  3. Eat snacks in between. No, not the doughnuts.

  4. Exercise, because it works and you feel better.

  5. Drink water.

  6. Don't skip meals; it doesn't work.

  7. Don't worry about it, but do about it.

  8. Action.

Healthy diets matter, but if I don't work at it, it won't work. I've completed three weeks now and while I have made some strides, I have not starved myself. I actually found it hard to eat the three square meals, because I typically don't. That was the hard part for me. I've managed to lose some weight but more importantly, I've added muscle by exercising and strengthening my body. I feel so much better too. I don't push myself, my body knows when to quit. It's working, slowly but working.
